Two “CareER Catalyst” health forums were held, the first in Tripoli (North), and the second in Chtaura (Bekaa). This event is organized by Semeurs d’Avenir and supported by AICS, the Italian Agency for Cooperation and Development, with support from DGTVET in Lebanon. In general, both forums were intended to strengthen technical and vocational path and education, as well as to bridge the gap between market need and demand in the healthcare industry. The forums attracted a total of 1356 participants, as well as 27 health-care firms (mostly hospitals) with 125 open positions.
The objectives of the forums include:
- Empowering technical and vocational education and training, in addition to fostering technical paths and careers with health loop.
- Facilitating youth self-assessment and exploration of TVET opportunities.
- Fostering interaction between companies and technical professionals, with a particular focus health sector.
- Addressing the disparity between technical talent supply and healthcare industry demand.
